Not focused on the ending
But focused instead on the pleasure
How good it feels to want
Taking the time to feel safe in our bodies
Moving at a pace that is right for us tonight right now
Free to stop at a moments notice with sweet check ins here and there
Saying nothing doesn't mean anything
Okay doesn't always mean yes
More words before intimacy
More freedom to say what turns you on, what makes me hurt, so many ways to
Feel pleasure feeling sure
That your partner is attentive and present
Because they ask questions and show with their hands that they listened, that they care
And when we mess up we don't make it about the misstep, we focus instead on the dynamic
Every body's needs, never leaving the moment to dwell in self doubt
Swimming instead in what's next, what's now,
Swimming in wants
And fears, fantasies…
What's the scene tonight?
Nothing fancy,
Just right.
