A note about convenience

"Convenience will be the death of us all... Convenience, not to be confused with Accessibility!"

I've been having this recurring thought about convenience for years now. Usually I'm in the car going down the road, with thoughts of functional public transport bouncing around in my head.

There's convenience foods that come with so much packaging, and one click to buy goodies.

But there is also the magic we miss when we avoid inefficiency, taking the long way, getting a little lost in thoughts or in a new part of town.

I don't always want to wash dishes, but to wash dishes without distraction is a sensory experience that activates dormant parts of my imagination.

For the wonder of inefficiency to be accessed, anxiety must first be under control, or willingly felt with non-attachment. You are not your feelings...

Boredom is a multifaceted experience. I implore our society, let your mind wander in your internal landscape, processing and problem solving, creating new connections between seemingly desperate ideas.
